Russ Pies, a Webster native, is an Outside Sales Representative at United Building Centers (UBC) of Sioux Falls. He has been with the company for 12 years. UBC recently celebrated its 150th anniversary and specializes in truss design, framing material, and millwork. The motto for United Building Centers is “UBC… The Story is Building.”
Russ has been a member of HBASE since 1998 and has served on the Board of Directors since 2002. He has also served on the following committees: Ambassadors, Associates, Building Fund Task Force, Education, Home Show, Membership, Scholarship Fundraiser and PAC Golf. He says, “HBA gives you an opportunity to interact with customers and colleagues.” He has also volunteered for the following HBASE community service projects: The Banquet, Center for Active Generations, Home Show, Hot Harley Nights, Fire Safety House, Product Show, Repair Affair and Spike Party.
Russ’s hobbies include collecting sports memorabilia, playing softball, darts, and golf and camping. The secret to his success is keeping work fun and setting attainable goals. Russ and his wife, Jessica, reside in Sioux Falls.
