Bell, Inc. Donates $100,000 to Ronald McDonald House Project
Bell, Inc. recently donated $100,000 to the construction of the new Ronald McDonald House near the Sanford Health campus in Sioux Falls. The new building, located at 17th Street and Lake Avenue just north of the new Sanford Children's Hospital, has people working on it daily.
The new 18-bedroom home will have over 20,000 square feet when completed in the fall of 2009. The mission of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Dakota is to support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children.
The home, which is on land donated by Sanford Health, will be where families can have a comforting place to stay with warm meals while their seriously ill child receives medical attention.
The Home Builders Association of the Sioux Empire has generously offered to assist in the construction process of the $3 million project by helping build the home with direct donations and fundraising efforts from both the HBASE membership and the public.
