The Home Builders Association of the Sioux Empire (HBASE) is committed to working with area schools to educate students about the vast number of career choices in the housing industry. One of the HBASE programs that promotes the residential construction industry as a growing and successful potential career is Tools for Schools program.
Each year the HBASE is proud to offer a grant opportunity to area high schools (must be within HBASE’s four counties it serves: Minnehaha, Lincoln, McCook or Turner). Schools are encouraged to complete an application to inform HBASE of your tools and equipment needs.
Local schools such as Canistota High School, Tea Area High School, West Central High School, Sioux Falls high schools and McCrossan Boys Ranch have all recently received grants for tools that include a Sawstop Tablesaw, Mittersaw, Drill Press, Scroll Saw, Downdraft Table, Nailer and much more. Grant values have ranged from $500 to nearly $4,000.
